Safeguarding
-
At Wild Ones Cheer, the safety and wellbeing of all our athletes, coaches, volunteers, and visitors are our highest priority. We are fully committed to providing a positive, inclusive, and protective environment where everyone can enjoy cheerleading and reach their full potential without fear of harm or abuse.
-
We believe that all children and young people have the right to participate in cheerleading activities in a safe and supportive environment. Our staff and volunteers have a responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all participants by promoting best practice, following safeguarding procedures, and responding appropriately to any concerns.
-
Our commitment includes:
-
Ensuring all coaches, volunteers, and staff have up-to-date DBS checks and safeguarding training.
-
Establishing clear policies and procedures for identifying, reporting, and responding to safeguarding concerns.
-
Promoting a culture of openness, respect, and accountability in which everyone feels listened to and valued.
-
Working in partnership with parents, guardians, and relevant authorities to maintain the highest standards of safety and care.
-
If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a member of Wild Ones Cheer, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Cheryl Turner at safeguardingwoc@gmail.com.
-
Together, we can ensure that Wild Ones Cheer remains a safe, positive, and empowering environment for all.
